This past weekend, Troop 384 participated in the 2004 Camporall. 6 boys (Alex,Rusty Jr.,Jordan,Cody S.,Caleb, and Ryan) and 2 adults (Rusty Sr., and David Gustafson) represented the Troop, and Mr.Alley was there assisting the District and helping to run the show! The boys had a Great time running their event, as well as running up and down the cliffs around our campsite!
Our Pack took home the "Over All Winner" cup, as well as the 2nd Best Camp Award! This is the second time in 3 years (last year they took the second place "over all") that Pack 384 has won the Silver Cup, and we are VERY Proud of them and are looking forward to them bridging over and joining us!
At the closing ceremony, our Troop (who were joined by Mr.Clayton, and our two newest Eagle Scouts,Chad and Justin V.) retired another huge American flag. To quote Tony "nobody does this ceremony better than Troop 384". It is a very moving ceremony. All of our boys, adult leaders, and Veterans (from the audience) got to participate in the retirement ceremony, and we all felt honored to be a part of it. It was a GREAT ending to a Great outing!
Sunday morning we broke camp (just before the weather turned TOO cold, and headed home. Mr. Gustafson treated us all to Donuts in Mineral Wells, and we were back to the church before noon! All of our Scouts (and Adults!) were returned to their families safe and sound (once again), and with some new great memories and stories to share!
